| I was walking home from my dads today and he turned to me and said that I was going to be miserable for two reasons 1)My grades in school 2)I'm not christian On the first count I told him that I agreed whole heartedly. I'd been sick with the flu for a while and my grades dropped and I've been working hard ever since to bring them back up. Succeeding in all but math and science to do just that (in those I am still trying). On the second one I turned to him and said that I respected his opinion very much but I was strong in my faith and would remain Wiccan. Thats all their was to it. I think he got the message because he dropped it. I know he only says these things because he loves me and is under this delusion that I am going to burn in hell. But it breaks my heart that someone that close to me can not see the that there are many beautiful paths to God/dess. How can any one live with the idea that over half the world and even their own children with suffer such a fate? Why can't he see the peace in my heart as I whisper my prayers to the wind? What could lead someone to believe that nature- the streams, the meadows, the sun and the moonlight- could be evil, that Faith could be Evil? It is sad. ~Brightest Blessings~ |
