| After writing my second blog I got a message from a well written, 90 year old Wiccan, Revdave. I read all seven messages that he sent because each message was limited to 500 words each and he had a lot to say. I am grateful for this because whether I believe in what he wrote or not it still got me thinking on my own beliefs. He, like many Wiccans, don’t like (and I say this in the least offensive term because hate is such a strong word) the Bible. I happen not to share this belief because to me the Bible is not a holly book, it’s just a book. I look at the Bible as I would do any novel and say, “It held my attention with murder, mayhem and the occasional romance.” That is all. It means nothing to me and my life. Thank you, Revdave for finding my blogs interesting enough to read and for giving me your opinion on them. Keep doing your good in Alabama and I hope you help many. I also understand Kiaennai’s blog about why we feel the need to find other people. It’s not a good feeling to feel alone and I believe that we shouldn’t have to. There are other people out there who are just like us and I think that it’s time to come together as a group. Sadly I don’t have the means besides my words to build a place of worship, but maybe someone does. My own holly place, with its beautiful stain glass windows and arches, will have to remain (for now) in my imagination. With only two blogs, not counting this one, I have learned a great deal about some very nice Wiccans. That one of the reason I’ve decided to write blogs to get to know and understand other Wiccans and their beliefs. I’m already achieving that and hope to hear more from the Wiccan community at large. The other reason is to get us as a group to think about our beliefs. So I’ll ask you, I told you what my beliefs are considering the Bible, what yours? Blessed Be, Kristen |
