a poem from a book

By tana 2010-11-15 20:56:28
Yet each man kills the thing he loves,
By each let's this be heard,
Some do it with a bitter look,
Some do it with a flattering word,
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!
Oscar Wilde, "The ballad of reading gaol"

Blot out his name, then, record one lost soul more,
One task more declin'd, one more foot-path untrod,
One more devil's-triumph and soow for angels,
One wrong more to man, one more insult to god!
Robert Browning, ''the lost leader''

And last but not least;
Between two worlds life hovers like a star,
'Twixt night and morn, upon the horizon's verge.
How little do we know that which we are!
How less what we may be!
Lord Byron,''Don Juan''

Lately I've admire poetry, I know the second one has nothing to do wiccan but it makes sense if u think outside the box,...well I think so. I might post some more if I find
Some more I like,..selfish of me,....marry meet, marry part, and marry meet again.
