Fae in Portland

For those of you familiar with the mystical energies of Portland, it will come to no surprise when I talk about the presence of the Faerie there. I'm not sure what draws them, but I think it might be Portland's cosmopolitan and chaotic energy. However, I was surprised by their presence in a event they usually avoid: Orycon. Orycon is a sci-fi/fantasy convention, perhaps not as well known as most, but it does draw an impressive array of writers and others of a creative bent. Normally I do not find anything supernatural there, despite the midnight wiccan open circle that meets on midnight every year. But this year me and a friend of mine were very much occupied tracking fae across the con. My friend is a powerful empath that can actually see auras and manifestations, thus I was following her lead while feeling for a push when she wasn't paying attention. They kept to the mirrors and seemed to be only curious, but it was still very unusual, and left me wondering. If there are actual natives of Portland here, please know that it was at the Loyd Center Double Tree Hotel during mid November. After Orycon there were several other conventions in the following weeks. If anyone else has seen, heard or felt something, I'd like to know. Thank you. Blessed be!
