| I embarked upon this journey when I randomly developed a curiosity about witchcraft in September 2010. I began to study, first informally and then more seriously when I chose the topic for a project in my Urban Geography class. When I had completed my project and was preparing my presentation for the class, I began to fully realize the deep respect I had developed for Wicca. When I presented the information I had found thus far to my classmates, I found my voice shook with emotion, and I myself was surprised by how quickly these deep feelings for Wicca had sprung up. After my presentation was over, I continued my studies, and I am continuing still. Slowly, I am learning more and more about this beautiful nature-based religion that I have come to love. I have started a Book of Shadows, something I have found very useful in compiling all the meaningful information I have found. I have been trying, to the best of my ability, to live by, "If it harm none, do what you will," which I have found to be a beautiful and freeing outlook on life. I have taken on a magickal name, Lita, which holds a personal meaning for me. I have begun exploring many spiritual/wiccan practices, such as Pranayama, Prayer Dance, Yoga, Mandalas, Meditation, Visualization, Numerology, Palm Reading, etc. I have been studying the Pagan Sabbats and Esbats, and am very excited to celebrate all of them for the first time! I have been researching magick, but have not cast any spells as of yet, since I am still learning and still have much to learn until I will consider myself ready. Since beginning to learn and practice Wicca, I have felt so much more alive, so much more at peace, so much more like ME. So thank you, all of you, for keeping this tradition alive.
