What happened to virtue?

By Raito9 2011-01-15 21:13:05
This is just a random rant.

I am proud to be an 18 year old virgin. However, if you look at my friends, so many, if not all, hav long ago lost heir virginity. Many are teen mothers. And this is not just my friends. So many teen girls are losing their innocence at young ages. Why?

Is to fit in or appear mature? Do young girls not have the will to say no? Why are they dating men older than themselves? My best friend in the whole world is 18 and dating a 26 year old man.

Am I the only one seeing a problem? I just watched a video on yahoo where a high school in memphis has 90 pregnant students. 90! What is going on?

Maybe I am the only one who sees a problem. I no longer have much in common with my old friends. Now they talk about sex and taking care of children. I have no knowledge of either. So, am I just acting too immature and not moving on with the times? Or is it I have the will to say no and protect my virginity?

It seems like virginity doesn't hold the same level of importance and sacredness anymore. It's like girls just can't wait to give it away to 'the love of their lives' who turns out to just be an older guy or some quick high school boyfriend.

Like I said, just my opinion and rant. Pay no mind.
