| Does anyone really know the difference between wicca and witchcraft? It seems different people will tell me different things. One will say wicca and witchcraft go together, and another will say they don't. You can be a witch without being wiccan and vice versa. I believe that they are seperate. Wicca, by history means, is not incredibly old. It has been modernized. The practice of withcraft, in its MANY forms, is very old. Wicca is only one way. You believe in some higher power. It doens't matter how many or which one, but you do follow some god or goddess. Witchcraft, you don't have to believe in any god or goddess. You just follow the flow of energies. I know some will read this and disagree, so I feel I should let you know, I don't care. Every person is entitled to their own beliefs. There is no actual documentation stating what witchcraft is exactly, and what Wicca is exactly. We can only speculate. The only books we have were written by witches and wiccans. Man. But wait, isn't that the argument we use against Christians and Catholics? That the bible was written by man? So was every other religious documaent. So fighting over what befiefs are right is kind of pointless. You have your beliefs and I have mine. Don't say I'm wrong and I can't say you're wrong. See how that works out? Nice. Everyone is happy. No religion is perfect and no religion can declare they are right. I mean, we can't all be right can we? We all just need to accept that we are humans and we are flawed. Don't diss anyone for not having the proper wiccan beliefs, or giving wicca a bad name. To be honest, with the way we fight over what is wiccan and what isn't, we are ALL acting like children and we are all giving it a bad name. If we fight with each other, how can we possibly stand up to the other religions? |
