| As a first note, I have always been Christian, however the way in which Christians judge and criticize others is against Christ's teachings. The self righteous, arrogance of Christians has been in the way of spiritual growth for centuries now. Be that as it may I still believe in the divinity of Christ as well as the Christian Trinity. It is something that is incredibly difficult to let go of. I have recently read the work of Nancy Chandler Pittman entitled "Christian Wicca: the Trinitarian Tradition" It is an ingenious work and it has opened my eyes to many of the aspects of the godhead that I have ignored. Another influence I have taken to is Ellen Dugan. Since I was a small child I have been drawn to nature. I used to cry when I saw land being cleared for useless purposes. I have felt more peaceful and at home climbing trees and sitting in the grass than in my own room. Herbalism and natural magic is beautiful and I believe in its constant presence. The existence of the Christian Goddess is something I have struggled with. However it is difficult to deny that the love and forgiveness of the new testament teachings is drastically different than the god of the old testament. It is because of this that I have come to believe in the identity of the holy spirit as the Christian Mother. I am very new, I am very curious, and I am very open to the practices of magic as well as well as communing further with nature. If anyone here is of like-mind I would love to hear from you, as well as anyone else offering encouragement or anything thought provoking.
