| How come when I tell people something is going to happen weather wise they look at me like I'm a loon but when it happens they look at me like I'm crazier than they thought? So I have decided to start adding my weather sense to my blog and see what happens. Since early July I have felt a bone chilling cold seep into my bones. I told my friends we would have a short summer, and early fall, and a very long cold and hard winter. I do alot of reenacting so I'm outside alot living rustic and spending time with nature. It so happens I was at an event that some old hunters came to to teach us how to butcher and skin animals the old way. I was talking to a friend telling him to be prepared when I got that look again and the old hunter stepped in and asked what I was talking about and so I told him. He asked if I hunted and I said I do not. The he told me the deer in our parts went into velvet the 2nd week of July. And I was right about the coming cold cause the deer do not do that here til the 3rd week of sept. he said. Well I am doing my part I have warned my friends and I wrote it here for people to see. Lets see what happens. | |
