| I've been struggling with finding a direction my whole life. I ask, "What am I good at?" Not any one particular thing stands out. Some people are good with numbers, some are good with sales, some are good with their hands. I have so many interests I can't pick just one. I like to cook, read, and be outside, how can I make a career out of that? I feel the world today is not meant for me. I feel I'm a hundred years behind. I don't like dealing with people, but I enjoy helping people. The attitudes and morals of todays society is so deplorable. People are so mean and rude and cutthroat. Whatever happened to the good ol' days, were everybody knew everybody, and people took responsiblity for their actions and admitted they messed up, and tried to fix it? Where are all the nice people who are willing to help without expecting anything in return? My path is one struggle after another, someone is always trying to take advantage of me, because I'm so nice. When I work I act like it's my own business, i care. But it seems like the ones that don't care and do a horrible job are the one's that get the perks and the raises, while I get the shaft. I just can't seem to find a job a would at least tolerate. There are less and less "mom and pop" operations, and more and more corporations. Wheres the humanity? Why do I have to rely on a computer to judge whether I'm a good person or not? Why do company's use a computer, instead of their own two eyes and intuition? Anyone can lie to a computer, but you can't lie to my face! Computers are great tools, for letters, organizing bills, playing games, but not for hiring someone. I have always known I wanted my own business, but what to do? |
