| Today after much confusion I'm writing about Aleistar Crowley and his contributions or lack thereof to the Wiccan society. After watching a paranormal TV show, which are known to be cliche and fabricated, but interesting still, the name Aleistar Crowley caught my interest. In this show, they made references to Black Magic symbols and how they were related to Aleistar Crowley, as it was said that he practiced Black Magic. (As said in this program.) Now, I've heard of him being mentioned before, but I don't recall it being in a negative light. However, I myself do not believe in White or Black magic, only magic that is done for good purposes or for more negative purposes, which magic is not supposed to be used for. In a book on Wicca I read, Aleistar Crowley was said to have contributed some positive views that have leaked into the Wiccan religion. It was never said that Aleistar Crowley practiced any "Black Magic" in this book. Now I'm hoping to clear some things up. Was Aleistar Crowley another occultist who varied more into a type of satanism instead of Wicca as these "researchers" in this show depict, or is Aleistar Crowley's views more related to those of peaceful Wicca? And if indeed Aleistar did not practice any type of Black Magic, then what is the validity of the accusations paranormal investigators of these type of shows make? It is hard to find information on the internet about this, as there are many different people making accusations about one thing or another. So heres the question, did Aleistar Crowley practice in "Black Magic" as this show informs to thousands of viewers, or was he another philosopher to a more peaceful religion being put in a bad light?
