I would like other people to post their alter stuff. Just to give an idea of what goes there, where to put it and what you do with it. Maybe even post a pic of it.
Here is what mine is:
I live in a trailor so space is limited, I also don't have a job so money is also limited, but I have managed to gather items form around the house, out in nature, and gifts I recieved. My alter is my dresser. My alter cloth is a head scarf my great grandmother left behind after she passed, it is black with purple and pink and red flowery designs on it. I have two black taper candles on each side, in the center is my "goddess" figure, a statue of a fairy I got for my birthday.(My family knows I like fantasy stuff.)
There are incense burners one is a dragon,(again a gift). I have a large chunk of rose quartz my father in law gave me out of his garden, and a small white quartz crystal I found digging in the yard of the last place I lived.(I cleansed them before putting them on my alter).
I also have acorns and seed pods I found walking one day, and a couple coins. I have a glass etched dolphin thing and small seal and turtles(not sure what kind of stone they are made of, the kind worry stones are made of). I keep my extra supplies on a bookshelf nearby. I am still adding to my alter, but everything on it was wither found or given to me.
So ask for them for birthdays and holidays, and before you know it your alter is done! |
