The sun kisses my skin,
Gently, soaking in,
The warmth, the smell, the light,
The sky has never been so bright,
I can feel the air, the earth and the fire,
I can feel a since of wonder,
Down by the creak where the mist rises,
The pool of water is no more,
I'm frightened, alone,
I begin to chase the howling wind,
I'm led through a wood thicker than ever seen before,
The spirit here with me,
A man of my family,
He guides me to the edge of a field,
I wonder if this is real,
How could it be,
My brother standing next to me,
He doesn't speak, but only points to the north,
There I see a spirit I have seen before,
You slowly turn and look at me,
Your face full of relief,
I suddenly forget my fear,
And let go a few tears,
For I am relieved as well,
Glad to escape that hell,
Safe and peaceful I lay upon the grass and the sun kisses my skin,
Telling me I'm safe with him. |
