| Greetings,and the brightest of blessings to you! Have you ever wanted to walk the ancient pathways of Englands sacred places? To touch the stones and feel the energy beneath your feet,or even see it in the air?...My name is Mungo and I live aboard a narrow boat on the Grand Union Canal,which is a two thousand mile network of waterways which cris-crosses its way around this country.Its very peaceful,and its a nomadic kinda lifestyle..Anyway,I have a spare berth which is available for a brother or sister to stay on for one week in the months of june,july and august respectively...I am roughly two hours from Wiltshire and the glorious Avebury Henge,which itself is 30 miles from Stonehenge and a great many earthworks and sacred springs and wells....not to mention Glastonbury,and the vale of the White Horses....I am also about half an hours train ride from the centre of London..basically I offer a weeks accomodation which is totally not for profit,its a chance for a brother or sister to have an experience of a lifetime without getting ripped off by some money orientated greedy hotel owners...I must add, however....this is very basic living indeed,a wood burning stove gives most of the heating,and heavens forbid....there isn't a television...but I think the nature and the beauty of the waterway makes up for the lack of a media wet nurse.I will throw in a day trip to wiltshire to visit Avebury henge,but honestly...you will probably have loads of stuff to do..Its a self catering deal,but depending on how you look at it.......that may be the best option,as my homemade madras should have a health warning!....So,thereyou have it!...This boat is my home,its a 62ft steel island of escape,and I do this to give the working class person a chance to enjoy a taste of our history and magic...any thoughts,feel free to ask....Mungo | |
