Missing a Piece

My heart is like a magnet,
Attracting; Repelling.
One side is happy,
The other still yearning.

What is needed in the cavern of my mind?
For the past years of my life, tears have fallen for lack of this mysterious missing puzzle piece.

It isn't Knowledge.
I already have means of gathering such.

It isn't Power.
I have that in my unique way.

It isn't Love.
I need no more, many freely give it away.

What I need is
meant to feed
a hidden part of me.
A part even I am unable to see.

What is beneath this cold shell of mine,
within this blood that flows through
visible veins?

There is a massage in the pounding of my brain,
in a secret language untamed.

Then again, I could just be insane.
