| this is from a message i recently sent out. please help if you can. any advice or wisdom to ecourage my decision-making process is greatly appreciated. thanks and blessed be, shadow * * * well... hopefully you can help me. wicca found me when i was roughly 14 years old. since that first glimpse i got of this whole different world, i became fascinated at once. ive been reading up on wicca and studying various things since that time. but im 21 now and have been tormented between religions. its something you might not understand if [wicca] is what you were born into, but for me this is difficult. let me explain why: im a capricorn; an earth sign; a fairly grounded and logical thinker. i keep reading so many things, hoping to find an answer. i suppose you could say that ive been searching for something as defined as black and white. a "right" answer, you could say. im a fairly intuitive person. and ive experienced unexplainable things that point me right back to wicca. however, i was raised in christian traditions. and although i never really was intertested in the bible, the bigger image for me is belief in one god? or a goddess and a god? no matter what makes the most sense to me, i keep impossibly searching for a "right" answer. i know that no one can tell me what the answer is, but no matter how much paganism makes sense... no matter how strongly i feel... no matter how many times the higher power has literally put forth the wiccan pages in my hands... i cant stop questioning both religions. i cant stop asking myself things like "what if i choose incorrectly? what if there REALLY IS a hell?" ive been this way since i was 14. and i cant choose any religion until i know i can believe in it 100%. |
