Who are they to judge? |

Today, I came to yet another of my revalations that shocked me from my idleness and got me thinking. And it was spurred on further by listening to a few tidbits from Billy Graham and Oprah on youtube. They believe that Christ is NOT the only way, that there are multiple ways to divinity. Quite a pagan concept.
And, after watching these clips, I read the comments. Wow, all I can say is, listen to the songbirds sing. Self righteous christians bombarded the comment boards, saying that these people are false prophets, and that they are leading people astray. Up till they'd seen and heard these things, they had been devoted followers and listeners, they loved these people, and suddenly when they speak their beliefs-
KABOOM!
It's amazing how people have the idea that they are capable of judging anothers spiritual path based on their own beliefs, isn't it? I'm Wiccan, and Christians think I'm going to hell because of what their book says. Well, that's fine, if you want to believe it. But I don't believe anything in the bible is the word of God.
So, here's my question: What gives these songbirds, my new term for people who sing the same things over and over about how they know their religion, any right to judge? Who are they to say that these revelations that these people have come to weren't brought by God? And who are they to say that these people are evil, just because they learned something from their path that's a little bit different from the standard thinking.
I dunno, folks. But I think the pagan way of thinking is starting to catch on, and people are getting scared. I don't know why, but that's what it seems. With even preachers and reverends coming to the conclusions we have, that Christ is just one road leading to the same destination, how can they possibly call us "wrong"? |
