“A Life Worth Protecting”

By jenniofox 2009-09-07 01:04:01
There is a lot in this world worth learning. It is up to us to learn it. Life gives us so many opportunities to learn from our mistakes, whether we learn from those mistakes determines on how much wisdom we gain in this lifespan. Life is short, and we must intake all that we can before it is our time to pass. To live life to the fullest should be our goal in life. Not taking things for granted like we always do.

“A Life Worth Protecting”

Life was so precious when she was born. She was pale, beautiful, innocent, young, and free. She was still a babe in the crib as she looked up at her mother and father. Life was the most simple it would ever be and she did not know the life that awaited her. Not a care in her little world as the light in eyes just sparkled while she looked at the women who would become her ultimate love in life.
Two weeks had past and evil was already trying to take her precious life. Her face turned a deep blue underneath her pale skin. For her tiny lungs could not reach the air that she needed. Some mucus had gotten lodged in her throat and would not surrender to let her breath. Her loving parents rush her to the hospital to save their new precious daughter, and only to find on their arrival that no one would cooperate. Finally a police officer near by heard the circumstances, and spoke up to the hospital staff. “Everyone needs to do what they can to get this infant help immediately.” He announced with a certain authority in his voice. Everyone obeyed instantly, and they rushed her and her parents inside a hospital room for immediate attention.
The doctor followed immediately to operate. Everyone was rushing around frantically to save the innocent life that meant so much to these two humans. The doctor quickly grabbed a tool to remove the mucus and saved the newborns life. She screamed and cried until I touched her tiny little hand, and she hushed and fell back into slumber. I did not understand these creatures, these humans that where created. All I understand is that the master told me to watch over her, to protect her, and to keep this very important child safe. I had to admit she was stunningly gorgeous, and I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. She had this certain trance that her deep blue eyes could put you in, and I had to admit she had me wrapped around her tiny little finger.
