| I've studied many different religions (muslim, christian, hinda, buddhist, wiccan of coarse) and i notice a lot of constants between them. they all have similar stories, similar beliefs even though many of them had no contact with eachother at the time of their formation. it is amazing when you really step back and look at it. it is my personal belief that every religion is a branch of a central truth. i think there is what we call the collective unconsious and that we are all connected through this. so there fore deep down we all know the stories of creation, the history of humanity and its relationship with a higher power. that is why the religions are similar. i think every religion is just a reflection of a group of peoples interpration and use of this unifying knowledge. if this is true than every religion is just a facet of one truth. which means there is no need to argue over any one right way calls its all part of a whole. so many people i meet feel that their religion is the only right way which is ridiculous when you think of how many beliefs there are that all think they are right. and this way of thinking makes them instantly assume that i also think i have the one right way. which i don't. i think there are many right ways. i will admit that i have been harboring some unjust animosity torward christianity mostly because of the way i have been treated do to their belief that they are the only right ones in the world. but that is a fualt with me not with my religion. wicca is religion of tolerance and i am of coarse working on eradicationg any foolish animosity that i may have. any way the point was that i think we're all connected. | |
