Just a quick post....
Our Grove adheres to a modified short version of the Rede that goes like this:
"Bide by the Wiccan Law Ye must, in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Eight Sacred words this Rede fulfills; And Ye Harm None, Do what Ye Will. As we sow, so shall we reap, so give most freely of what you seek, ever minding the Rule of Three, that what ye send forth comes back to thee. Take this Wisdom to your mind and heart, and Merry ye meet and Merry ye part."
Now our little twists on the Rede are meant to remind us that what we choose to focus upon and express manifests and grows, eventually bearing the fruit of experience "threefold" to what intent was sown. To help my children keep this idea at the front of their thoughts, I came up with a Sower's Charm for them to speak whenever they face situations that they are unsure about or that get them upset, or when things just don't seem to be going in a way they are happy with:
"Sow Sow Sow,
Grow Grow Grow,
Reap Reap Reap,
Always what I speak."
This simple charm seems to help them choose their words in accordance to their Will, reminding them that what thoughts we choose to express manifest in our experiences, and that by choosing their thoughts based on that idea, they might better direct the moment to reveal the experiences they desire.
Its a wonderful feeling when I watch them in situations that would throw me for a loop, easily and artfully choose to speak and act in ways that direct the moments to some favorable outcome, as if it were so natural to them. Sometimes I envy their perfect trust in the idea and how potent such few simple words can be for them. But then again, I am grateful I had the opportunity to share it with them, and now you.
Blessed Be |
