| okay, having had to move into my christian father's home do to circumstances beyond my control, i have had to make some changes (grinds teeth) that really suck. At nearly 22 years old, i thought that i was past having my father step in and tell me what to do on a daily basis. i was WRONG. Today he had the gall to tell me that if i do anything of the wiccan nature, that i was to keep it to myself and in my room...like i would want my bible thumping family to join in with me. Not that i dont love them, but i have to deal with their religion which they flaunt openly. i have to hide in the shadows. i guess what rubbed my fur the wrong way was that he doesnt think to be kind or even seemed interested. i just grabbed a few sticks of incense from the drawer and made a remark- BOOM! no wiccan shit in the house. grrr. it doesnt help that i am going to have to rebuild my altar from scratch since i couldnt bring my things with me. i handed them down to a friend of mine who is just getting started. All i ask for is a little equality and common sense. too much? Then again, this is my father i'm talking about. when i came out of the broom closet, it was on a father-daughter road trip. i got smacked around when i told him. he's a little more polite these days, but i wont be able to forget the sadness i felt when he told me that i was no daughter of his. that was when i was 14, about 4 years after i actually began my study with my grandmother and a few friends who never kept up with it. Boy is he going to hate the wedding i am planning. lmao. and how i raise my kids. oh, and lets not forget the shop i will be opening for the underground pagans kiding around this area. mwahahaha. oh, it's on. |
