| so, i get a message from someone i will not name, saying that i was being rude in a comment that i posted yesterday. that normally would not be a problem, because if i am out of line or misinformed, i am more than willing to make a correction and learn a little in the process. i dont know everything and i will be the first person to admit it. however, they went on to speak as though whatever comment they found offensive in my post was aimed specifically at them. let me remind you that this is a person i have never met before, let alone talked to. so, i thought to do a little investigating and went to their profile for a chance to see what kind of person i was dealing with. and sure enough, it is some 18 year old kid with a spiced up profile, who to me just looked like the emotionally fragile sort. whatever, right? but then i got to thinking. lately, and this might just be because of the season or some sort of pull of the moon for all i know, people with insecurities and issues have been tossing them at me as though i was the cause of all of their woe. really? me? this couldnt just be some personal issue that they are having due to some feeling of inadequacy? okay. i might seem harsh. but it is seriously getting on my damn nerves. here i am, trying to share a little of bit of my opinion, a thought or two, a chance to learn and discuss with peers...and i have some upstart kid giving me shit because the cannot get passed the fact that the world doesnt just revolve around them. this is probably one of those people who invision themselves as some sort of chosen one just waiting for some amazing adventure to prove their potential so that they can save the world. please... just drop the shit. (rant is now ended. i feel better. have a good day. :) ) |
