Knitting in the Tomb

By Crow 2010-02-12 22:23:36
My needle's been bent brutally
My thread is burning fast,
This cask is lost eternally
This bare spool is the last.

Dim lights eluminate my tomb
A potential sign of hope,
The gleaming white keeps lingering
As if a rescue rope.

Yet when i reach to touch this light
To beg it for some aid,
It burns another wound in me
And mocks me as it fades.

I scream up to the surface
But my pleads go on unheard,
I sob then tears of torment
To have hope now is absurd.

I now accept my condemned fate
There is no way to change,
Must stay here knitting in the tomb
Among the muck and mange.
