The Gift of Self-Discovery |

Exit all reality
Get lost in happiness,
And even though
I may not go
It seems not to distress.
The light that i shall find
When I look into the sun,
It makes me laugh
It sums not half
Of your eyes' sparkling stun.
Life chokes off my last breath
For it's standing on my throat,
I'll purify
All of these lies
Make that the final note.
Too weak to stand my own
May I gently lean on you?
I may not see
Light inside me
But I see your words as true.
There'a a whisper in the breeze
Almost faint too much to hear,
"The life you lead
Is of love and need
So what's so much to fear?"
Epiphany has struck
My ill-begotten soul,
I have all time
I know that rhyme
Still my heart remains as coal.
An image of my strenth,
Though I fear more than a child.
My heart,
My fear,
So far...
So near...
It all seems now to be mild. |
