I'm curious what books the people of W.S. suggest to other Wiccans/Pagans. (Particularly teens and young adults but in general is good too)

Also what is your opinion of Silver Ravenwolf?
I find her work good as long as it can be taken with a grain of salt.

I've been looking at Silver's works and I've been reading:

"Book of Shadows" by Migene Gonzalez Wippler

and

"Wicca for Beginners" by Thea Sabin

I normally get ahold of any book I can.

Path Manual for Dhrow is an excellent read. It is the shadow warriors approach to magick. You can get an electronic copy at: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zyzgobtgiyd

If you're studying Wicca specifically I would recommend Gardner since he started Wicca, he's the absolute authority on it.

Silver Ravenwolf is nothing more than fluffy new-age garbage not worth the paper she's printed on. I strongly recommend against reading anything of hers.

Remember, Wicca is a secretive and oath-bound witchcult. Any published book on Wicca is either breaking that vow of secrecy or else not Wicca at all.

If you're looking for just a good Eclectic Neo-Pagan book that's NOT Wicca I would recommend Cunningham. He claims the name of Wicca with annoys me, but if you ignore that he actually does have some good information.

i'm sorry but thats not true. just because some one writes about wicca doesnt mean they're breaking a vow unless they are in a coven. And there are solitary wiccans so they can write about the pratice but that doesnt mean that its wrong or not wicca. There are different types of wicca and new branches can be created. From what you're saying it seems like you're implying that if your not in a coven then you're not really wiccan or if you not have a mentor than the information you're getting is wrong. I've reed many books on wicca and pagan and i know most of the basic things so im starting to create a new branch but does that mean its wrong and im just a fluffy? I'm not trying to be rude or anything but that kinda offended me since im not in a coven and i dont have a mentor only due to the fact that i cant find one near me.
but as for the books, i like scott cunninghams books. thats one of the main authors i read on about wicca. i cant recall the other authors tho. sorry. :/

Renkon, you make Wicca sound like a cult! Which, might I add, doesn't help the world's view of it at all. If the writer is in a coven that has rules against sharing their secrets then you have a slight point, but that's between them and their coven, not every Wiccan in the world. Besides, most of those books exist for solitaries like me who can't get information from a coven.

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunnngham
best book on wicca i've ever read, especially for young people looking for insight into wicca.
