| i am new to this site although i am not new to wicca. it was my understanding that wiccans didn't believe in Satan. So why the name i am a little confused. i know that pagans aren't necessarily wiccan so is there something i am missing??? looking forward to almostwitch response to this question. my confusion is direct to revdave though a response from him would also help me to clarify!!!!! |

| Rev jack is a satanist. Im a wiccan.jack and i are old ones.he is fifty two I am thirty nine.we work together where others dont.satanist dont believe in satan either its a shock value thing for some reason youd have to ask him because i am not a satanist.we both have seen changes from the 70's to today. Theres even a christian wicca but i see it as a oxymoron but whatever floats their boat.so to sum it up we work together as pagans to spread education and do pagan charity work. |

| I'm a little confused as to what it is exactly that you're asking. As I see it, Wiccan has but two definite rules: Wiccan Rede, Three-Fold Law. Since there are several different varitations of wiccan and paganism I.E: polytheistic, monotheistic, atheistic, duotheistic and so on, personal belief varies. Generally those that follow this faith and similar don't usually tend to believe in figures that are set in other religions. Because, that is where satan is generally regarded, as being the evil deity in the monotheistic religions of Christianity, Catholocism, and Judism. So, it's really up to the person I think. I find that I'm an atheistic wiccan. I don't beleive any higher god/goddes exist as an actual being, but more of an idea. But, I also follow what part of the path I feel suits my personal moral standing and beliefs. |
