Welcome new buddy of mine!!! :D

I'm a huge fan of anime and gaming too! I love gorey bloody games! Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, Obscure. Resident EVil of course! :)

And Kingdom Hearts.

A good thing to remember about Wicca, is that you don't have to believe in everything to be one. There are many different ways to practice.

Me, I'm an atheistic wiccan. That may sound weird, but it's simple. I don't believe in the wiccan gods, and I don't really do magic. I do believe in karma though.

I do however believe people and nature should be respected. I believe in evolution and the big bang theory.

So, just be yourself and believe what you want. :) You don't have to follow a strict set of beliefs here.

Welcome! Kangei!

(I would write in Japanese but this website only has english unicode. :( )

hey ratio! its been a while! missed u on the message boards! :)

atheistic wiccan, thats a nifty title lol

i'm a "pagan with buddhist and taoist tendencies" lol

calling myself wiccan just got to be such a hassle among people, chat rooms, groups, etc. people kept arguing with me on what a wiccan really was.

an its true, there is a slight definition to "wicca" even if its not exactly the same all around.
its jus easier for me to say "im pagan" then have to put up with the stigma that has been attached to "wiccans" lol

Um... wow.

I have got to leave this place. You guys really don't know what Wicca is.

If you are an atheist that means you don't believe in anything, you can't be an atheist and have a religion... I'm sorry... but, no.

got a problem? leave.

atheism doesnt mean you dont believe in ANYTHING. atheism is the belief that there is no god(s)

one can still believe in the earth, the elements, etc, and not believe in the presence or existence of a deity or deities.

although i do agree, "wicca" is rather structured in its belief of the Lord and Lady.

thats why the umbrella term "pagan" works for so many people.

but again. got a problem? take off eh? your negativity isnt warranted or welcomed.

Almost- I also believe that Wicca was based on the belief in two polar deities who carried the faces of many others... If you don't believe in God or a higher power, then how can you be Wiccan? Technically you'd be a witch in my opinion. A witch can believe in anything they wish (Or not), the title merely means they work magick.
But to each their own. I'm not going to argue about technicalities. Its not worth it to me.

You know what? I believe what I want.

I don't see it set in freaking stone that you MUST believe in the goddess to be a Wiccan.

There happen to be sveral different types.

Monotheistic wiccan/pagan- Belief in one god/goddess

duotheistic- belief in both a god and goddess

polytheistic- belief in three or more gods/goddesses.

pantheism- belief that the universe is divine and should be revered. Pantheism identifies the universe with God but denies any personality or transcendence of such a God.

agnostic wiccan/pagan- Some Wiccans are actually Agnostics, who take no position on the existence of a supreme being or beings. They often look upon the Goddess and the God as archetypes, based on myth.

Me Atheistic- Some Wiccans are strong Atheists and maintain that no deity exists. They often view the God and Goddess as concepts or principles, not as living entities.

So, Aster, I can believe that no higher power exists and still believe that nature is to be respected and revered. Don't tell me I'm wrong untill you do a little research. I'd be happy to point you to some good places.

Almost, I might take your advice and call myself an pagan with atheistic beliefs.

Freedom of religion people! I can believe what I want!
