So, when did it become insulting and against the rules to believe what you want?
When were the wiccan rules set in stone, because I must have missed it.
Wether it be Atheistic Paganism, or Satanic Wicca, or whatever, it doesn't matter.
People are free to believe what they want. This is honestly the last place I would have expected such intolerance and discrimination.
Seriously, who is going to tell anyone about their personal beliefs now if they're just going to be shot down for it?
I feel religion is manmade and that no higher power exists. For this, I also feel that NOONE can ever tell another person that their religious beliefs are WRONG!!!
To me, doing that is un-wiccan like.
Believe what you want people! There is nothing wrong with it. It is your right and you shouldn't have to deal with intolerance from your so-called friends. |

Wicca is a set religion. It has its own framework. If you don't fit into that framework, then you aren't Wiccan.
If you practice witchcraft and aren't Wiccan, that's OKAY. You're just a Witch or a Pagan. Again there's nothing wrong with that.
If you don't like what people have to say, ignore them and continue to believe what you want.
This is getting a bit rediculous and you're freaking out over something so silly as a disagreement.
If you think what the people on WS here are telling you is wrong then go to other websites where you'd get walls of text (Foul language included) on why they think you're wrong.
Chill. Don't get so riled up over things. |

The framework of Wicca is a ditheistic Neopagan religion. Ditheistic- Two deities which can be further broken down into whether the believers are soft or hard polytheists. But there's still the belief in polar deities.
"Wicca is the largest of the Neopagan religions. Wiccans have great reverence for the Earth and for their Goddess and her consort, the horned God. " Source: http://www.religioustolerance.org/witchcra.htm
Again, you don't like it either ignore it and go about your merry way, or consider calling yourself an Atheistic Neopagan. No need to go on ranting and raving.

I've gone there too, and if you continue to read, you'll see the section in which I have pulled my information.

I'm not getting riled up, just trying to get people to see that everyone can believe what they want.
Beliefs in wicca differ from person to person.

But there are frames to the religion. Its like calling yourself Christian yet you don't believe in Christ. Its not Christianity anymore.
I don't see your problem with calling yourself an Atheistic Witch.
Yes Wicca has deviations, There's Dianic, Correllian, Celtic, Kemetic, etc but they all contain the same framework of deity, elements, and magick. |

I don't have a problem with being an atheistic pagan, it's others who seem to have a problem with it. And honestly, it doesn't bother me. It does however when they act the same way towards others.
It's just odd that you can't have the title Wiccan with out following set in stone rules like the bible has.
And here I foolishly thought wicca was flexible and accepting of all beliefs.... |

Wicca is flexible. You can worship specific deities, or just a universal energy. You can work alone or with a coven. You can follow your own made up deity if you wish. You can follow your own ethics pro of against Gay Marraige? Thats okay. Your God isn't going to smite you down.
But when you cease to follow the framework of Wicca, is it Wicca anymore?
When you make a ham sandwich and take out the ham is it really a ham sandwich anymore? No. Its just two pieces of bread and some condiments. Same with Wicca.

two deities...the man believe is there is an energy force out ther and we make it personal by what we see in nature as a guide. you can make it a male and female side to it.i do this and welcome my female side as well as my male side, which makes people think i am gay sometimes but whatever...
i have no clue as to what happened over time.but it is evolving as do animals in nature so i accept that.except christian wicca...what the french toast happened there??anyways..it is clearly evolving so it has adopted more than the original ways that i learned from the elders.i usually dont care, to each their own..so i leave it at that. ooh if there is a christian wicca out there..how can you be such???i thought the bible denounced witchcraft in any form.so isnt it an oxy moron in itself? unless you go by the hebrew bible which translats basically the same here and there.so ill just keep scratching my head on that one. |
