My friend who I will call "McPickles" thinks that you can be Wiccan and still love gore and people being torn to shreds in movies. I also agree. I am a die hard blood and gore fan.
My other friend, "Sourpuss", believes it defeats the purpose.
Thoughts? I personally think a persons personal interests shouldn't be bound by religion. |

Hey, I love a good Murder Mystery, where you have to think who did it.
Not so much the blood and gore, Zombies just scare me and senseless
killing without any reason..no thanks.
But I think it's ok if you like to watch this fake stuff as long as you don't go out and repeat for real
..harm none... I am just happy with Mrs. Marple and Poirot.. LOL
Blessed Be

That's what I believe. it's perfectly fine to enjoy as fiction.
I would never give up my gore. I LOVE it! |

I don't believe enjoying gore or darker things defeats the purpose of Wicca. Wicca is not all pretty happy things. Wicca is about balance.
Now, if its taking away from the core beliefs of Wicca, then it defeats the purpose.
Like if you were the one commiting harm against someone, then yes. I could agree with your friend. |
