| If you read my profile you'll know I'm just looking for people in my area who are of a like mind. I don't get out much in the "pagan" world, mostly because I haven't really been able to *find* a "pagan" world in stupid Barrie. Just one shop that was impossible to get to after their downtown storefront burned up and a bunch of stupid kids with no idea what they are doing and no will to learn the reality of the craft. I'm lost and alone and I'm just looking for other practitioners of a serious nature in my area, but who still know how to have a good time. |

I'm in Alberta but my dad and Husband's parents live in North Bay, so when I visit I may be able to help you. But I may be able to help without being there. you can always message me.
Blessed be

| Thanks, Alera. I've not had much contact with other pagans, so there is probably a lot I don't know... Mostly I'm just looking for people who can help me learn and grow. Anyway you can help, I'd appreciate it. |

Merry Meet
I learned everything myself. When I started Wicca was not a mainstream religion. I found out about it when I was doing a report in High School on witchcraft.
As for help I can suggest some reading...
The complete Idiots guide to Wicca and Witchcraft. I know the title sucks but this is still my most used book to date. It helps with a lot of misunderstandings and gives great tips.
As well Wicca a guide for the Solitary Practitioner - Scott Cunningham. I still use some of the recipes in it.
I can give you more reading if you like?
But generally after a while I have found that as a solitaire I just go with what works for me. I craft my own stuff using others as a template. I tend to do more ritual with my Goddess then Magick. And in the last few years I realized I may have been going in the wrong direction, so I searched around. I realized that when I started on the path, everywhere I looked there was Celtic influence. All the Wiccans I found on the internet (It was still gaining popularity with pagans at the time) were Celtic. So I became Celtic as well, I did not know any better. So as it has become more popular I have found to my delight that I could deal with other pantheons! I had always loved the Greek Gods and Titans so when I realized that one had chosen me I was ecstatic. I had realized what was missing in my ritual.
Anyways Sorry for that... ;>
I had a moment... :)
Hope I helped anyways. <|:o)
Blessed Be
Alera

Merry Meet,
You are not alone, I am in Barrie as well with no one to talk to or meet. It is hard. coming from so many friends that practice and live Wiccan I must say that is very hard. But keep strong! |
