Wicca

I've seen great misunderstandings happening here. I've made the mistake myself. I admit my youthful ignorance clouds my better thinking sometimes. I don't know everything about Wicca. I probably never will, but I study it as much as I can.

Lately, there has been a HUGE mixup of 'witch' and 'wicca'.

I've seen great advice come from Aleta, Luna, Rev, Almost, Alura, Twilight and Casper.

I think us 'young ones' need to try and realize what Wicca means to these guys who have been practicing for years. I think before we label ourselves a paticular way, we should spend time researching exactly what it is.

I admit that I made that mistake, and it turned out bad. People were at each others necks arguing. I call myself an atheist pagan now, instead of an atheist wiccan.

These wiser members mentioned above tried to give me advice on this, and in my pigheaded way, I shot them down and continued to argue my point despite my lack of knowledge.

To avoid things like this repeating, I suggest when given advice by other members, even if we don't like it or agree, we should consider it and think about it.

We who are new to this cannot make the assumption that we know everything. I still have a lot to learn.

:) Jeez, I hope that didn't sound cheezy.

It didn't sound cheesy at all. We all can learn from each other. No matter how young or inexperienced the other person is.

Anyone can be a witch. Just like anyone can be a golfer. Witchcraft is a practice like golf.

But Wicca is a religion that incorperates witchcraft into its faith.

I think people think that Wicca is the only religion that practices witchcraft and thats why they struggle so much to call themselves Wiccan.

There are other religions that practice witchcraft. There's reconstructionist religions like Kemeticism (The reconstructed Egyptian faith), then there's paths that you put together and follow like Paganism.

Its okay we were just like you to at one stage in our prime. Now besides complaining of aches and pains of the body we know newer ones will become like us and grow.
Besides i still dont know it all and never will.no matter how many lives we live wouldn't you agree?
And as far as hard headed i still am lol

oh, it's ok, it's not cheesy, I admire and respect that you just come forward and say how you feel, we love you for that :) and yes, we never stop learning just like Revdave said, no matter how many lives, always something new !
Blessed be your journey !
