Pentacle Elements

| I have been studying & practicing Wicca for 4 years now and I am perplexed by the different variations of the corresponding points on the pentacle pertaining to the elements. Is there a set, "correct" way that they correspond??? I've seen it Water, Fire, Earth, Air -- Fire, Earth, Air, Water -- Air, Water, Fire, Earth just to name a few. Does ANYone know the answer to this?? Thank you |

| age old dilema lol truth is there is no "correct" way or correspondences. its based on your trad, your opinions, where you learnt. mostly just go by what sits with you. trying to figure out whats "correct" when it comes to something thats merely matter of opinion, is like hardcore christians saying their religion is the only "correct" way. there is no "correct" way to be spiritual, or practice your faith. do what feels right to you. |

| Actually, for the elements it would be in order of their directional influence starting at the top point for 'se;f' or 'spirit', you go north, east, south and west in a clockwise fashion. I hope that helps. |

| When you call quarters usually it's done in a clockwise way (As clockwise increases energy, counter clockwise breaks it down) I know most say start in East as the East (Air) is the element of new beginnings. But I personally start in the north as the chant I use begins with I call upon Earth. Its really up to you but I would suggest starting in a clockwise fashion and doing it consecutively (Ex Earth, Air, Fire, Water) rather than nonconsecutively (Earth, Fire, Water, Air)as that would create chaos and be very confusing in my opinion. |

| I agree with AlmostWitch. there is NO "correct" way to put it. so whenever i'm working something at my altar, i just let the elements tell me where they want to go for that particular spell. u should try it. It feels much better than guessing for me. |
