proper crystal for wand points?
Posted by ShadowTalon on 2010-10-04 02:27:16
Merry meet friends,

I am currently in the process of carving my first wand. I dont want to buy one already made cuz then it just wuldnt feel like its my own. Im using a piece of willow that i found already cut in a brush pile. Now im not sure if a specific crystal is supposed to be used for the point. I know clear quarts is usually and more widely used but at the moment, i cant find the piece i have that would actually fit.. But wat i do have is a perfectly formed piece of green quarts, though slightly tumbled. Would i be able to use it as my wand point or shuld i get clear qwartz?

Thanks for your help! BB )O(

I think you should use what feels best for you. If you have a crystal that speaks to you, use it. there is no right or wrong in wand making, just what feels right to you. My wand is a piece of wood that my daughter found, i've never sanded it as it's nearly petrified woof. It has a natural knot and hole in the middle near the top, which ends in a point and has been my wand for many years. :)
