Hosting a Solstice Ceremony in London, ON Posted by HeavenScent on 2010-11-17 15:27:15 Hello all! Our Wiccan and pagan clients are unbelievably good to us all year, every year. So, for the first time ever, we've chosen to give back by hosting a Solstice ceremony in our space (169 Wortley Rd) on December 21, starting at 6:00. Shirley and Lee from Inspired by Light will be leading us in this beautiful ritual, followed by light snacks, as well as an opportunity for readings and fellowship. In their own words, "I am an Aboriginal person and my friend is of Celtic decent, so are ceremonies are a mixing of two distinct cultures. Our rituals are all about recognizing that we are a part of a dynamic ecosystem . . . Mother Earth. We drum, dance, do smudging and other rites to celebrate all that nature offers. Right now the Winter Solstice is almost upon us and our ritual involves the celebration of light, we shall call forth the light from the womb of the night. On the winter solstice our earth begins its journey towards the light, the promise is kept the light returns once more. We also journey towards a more spiritual light, the light of the Divine.
