| I'm a straight male, just so people know. To be gay is a personal Choice. It happens in nature also, so I don't see why people should care. I'm an open-minded person, so i honestly don't care who others take for companionship. well there is a line, but that is for something else. if they are of age to make their own choices then let it be. |

| I am also staight but know that there are gay spirits on the other side. Despite what the close minded say you will not burn or be looked down upon in the afterlife for your sexual choice. |

| very true, although i was faced with a confrountation by someone telling me that it was bad enough that i was gay but to be wiccan was a whole different war... I am completly unable to understand why my belief is reason for someone to feel as if they must be at war with me... In all of this madness i didnt understand what my being homosexual had anyting to do with the matter in which they were speaking... So i guess by posting this i was looking for someone who has went threw the same situations... Or someone to give me advice on how to go about being wiccan, it has apperently been in my family for many many years but i have no idea what to do... my granmaw told me that it was in my blood, but if it was in my blood then wouldnt i know what to do?? SMH im so confused! |

| Don't be confused, be yourself. In Wicca we know that we have both male and female aspects in all of us. A man can call down the moon as well as a female and use the Goddess's power. Your choice is not going to put you on one side or another. The fact that you have it in your blood means it should come to you very easy, the craft that is. I'm proud to call myself a witch and a hairy tatooed man but I don't need to say that I only have sex with women. |

Open yourself to the Memories of past generations. Just Anchor yourself first. Find one Memory in the Present and think of that, then Seek in yourself for the Memoies of older generations. A very GOOD idea is to have a trusted friend with you when you so that to help bring you back. The Memories are in us all, but we are the Ones that have to find them.
May Peace and Love follow you and yours. |

| Just adding my 2 cents worth. I too am a straight male but I believe in duality and a persons sexual orientation is theirs. Whether you believe it is a choice or as I believe it is a genetic predisposition. If what you do makes you happy and harms none, do as you will. We all know the difference between being good and being bad. Don't let anyone force their opinions on you(fascists) and be happy with your life and that you can love another person period. Life is to short to worry. |

Yes Kev, you are not alone. I remember growing up in rural Kentucky and someone told me what a Queer is and how bad that is and it freaked me out. I thought I was the only one in the whole world. Yes, it was irrational but I was thriteen and it was the early 1970s.
Things have improved for us so much in all these years since. I live with my partner in Toledo, Ohio now. I really hate living in a city but at least they are more accepting of us in urban areas.
So, welcome to the craft and you will be a fabulous witch. |

I recently learned of a Wiccan Tradition specifically suited for Gay and Bisexual men, it is called the Minoan Brotherhood. We have a Grove right here in Toledo. I hope to join them in their mystery rites.
You are definitely not alone.

Reading the posts in here makes me glad I chose to be a part of this site. It's nice to see people who are actually non-judgmental and open. :)
Blessed be-- |
