Serious question

| Ok, so this may sound stupid to some but here goes. I've just gotten into the wiccan community. I've seen it from the outside but I've known about it for a long time. I just recently started trying to learn more about it. Well I was on a radio channel and put on some pagan music. I saw one guy had posted that he loved it so I love trying new things. Anyway, after playing the music for a little bit, I was reading up on spells and casting and such and I started getting a weird feeling. Right now my dog is acting strange also. She is usually very calm but is acting nervous. I feel like something is watching me and I keep getting chills...Has anyone ever had a spiritual response from music, or is it that I'm opening my spirit up by believing more or what? Again this may sound stupid, but I get this feeling every now and then...I guess I should add I randomly feel this when I do certain things...it could have been from the fact that when I was younger I dated a wiccan, and even though she told me it was a bad idea I played with a spirit board...being stupid and the fact that I loved talking to spirits I wanted to see what kind of responses I would get in a grave yard. I know big mistake. I got crazy messages, my girlfriend said it was probably a demon. It tried to count backwards and she said it was trying to escape the board. She had built a protection circle and said a prayer when closing the board out...Could someone tell me if I'm just feeling spirits, or maybe I have one attached to me. I can definitely feel something. I'm not afraid of it, and it's not doing any harm that I can tell. Is there any way to contact this spirit or talk to it? sorry for so many questions, I just love this sort of stuff, and love learning new things. I know some of you have alot of experience on spirits and I'd like to learn more. |

| Get a recorder and ask some questions. If you get answers you will have EVP's the most definite proof of afterlife that there is. |

| When I started learning this stuff, any thing Occult, I was about 13. I learned the more I learned, the more disoriented I became at first. I also tie the disorienting to the church I was a part of. After awhile I developed a cleared mind, and an understanding of myself, a so called Spiritual Awakening. I assume this is an after effect of breaking the years of program society had done. Sounds crazy a bit, but society had developed years of control, what to believe, what not to believe. When we were kids, we had a stronger sense of wonder, but that wonder goes away by suppression. I think your "Awareness" may be tied to this. Sense your mind is more open, it will take in things. But trust me, these feeling will go away once your mind have accepted them as normal. I may suggest reading what I got of my blogs so far. |

| Personally, the best thing to do Read. And not just books Marked Wiccan or Wicca or Pegan. Read anything that sounds interesting, gain vocabulary. The more words you Know, the more specific (and yes I still misspell words) the spell can be. Plus you might Learn something that others don't Know. I Learned to Center and Ground from books that Mercedes Lackey wrote. That may sound stupid, but Learn to Read Between The Lines. May Peace and Love follow you and yours. |

| I appreciate all the help and I've thought about the recorder...I've also read you an use a candle and tell the spirits flicker once for yes 2 for no...haven't tried that though. I really liked madprophets answer. I will have to read your blog...it does seem the more I learn and the more I accept the more I hear and feel...I heard a tapping last night and I thought it was my dog but turns out she was outside and it was in the room...I tried speaking out loud "if that was a spirit please do it again ...I mean you no harm." I have learned enough to know spirits don't always take orders and they may be afraid of your intentions of communicating. And again this morning I heard almost a moan/grunt...again my dog was outside, not her. I am in a new appartment...it could be a mix of my opening mind and maybe a spirit looking for someone to talk to or something. to do with the reading up on wiccan spells and the occult, I ant find any books around here...christans have half a store and we don't even have our own section in books a million anymore. it seems both halves of the store are now fiction. Where does everyone else find their books? |

| When I first started learning the craft I made a few slight mistakes that had some creepy consequences but nothing too serious. First thing I screwed up was to allow the ancestors and visiting spirits stay instead of having them leave my circle, in my home. So now I have three spirits, I get the impression that one was a human and the other two are either cats or dogs but owned by the human spirit. My guess is cats. In some photos one can see "Orbs" and these are usually the light of the flash against water droplets or dust particles or bugs in the air. My ghosts are Orbs that can be seen in real time like a floating black or gray balloon that floats into a dorway and disappears or behind a curtain and disappear. I'm used to them but I had a woman who was my room mate move all the way to West Virginia it creeped her out so much. My partner is OK with them and was not startled or freaked out the first time he saw one, the human one which is the biggest one. Also too, when I invoke the Goddess Hecate the cats I have freak out and want to leave the room. When my room mate was here her dog (a little cute Chihuahua) would start barking and whining in his sleep when I invokewd Hecate. Hecate is a powerful Goddess and one shouldn't call upon her unless you are into some serious spells. Hecate helped me stop smoking and I dare not light another cigarette or else I fear I may anger her. So stuff happens when you do this, It won't harm you and you get used to it. After all, you are a witch, we do this sort of thing. There is nothing to fear and much to learn. So chin up and practice your craft. I like my ghosts, I am so in awe of them and maybe one day they will respond when I try to speak to them. |

| I agree with hazelsnake...record yourself trying to contact the spirit...you might be surpised what you hear on the tape that you may not hear at the time when you are talking to it. alot of things can be picked up electronically that cannot be heard with the human ear |
