Witchcraft on a budget

| You will see in most of the books and spells they give a list of items that you will most likely have to buy. I as well as several witches I know don't have a lot of money and I wanted to share some of the ways we still practise the craft. To start from my psychic class- psychic cards: use the aces and twos from a deck of cards,devining rods can be made of wire coat hangers, for a talking board cut each letter out of paper and arrange them in a circle on a table using a glass that will slide on the table. A lot of what you need you will find in nature. Smell the plants around your home. What do they tell you about how they want to be used. Any smooth round stone can be a protection stone. Any rock with a hole can be used to see into other worlds or faries. Go for a walk. What better magickal items could you find than the ones from the gnomes,spirits, and fairies. I was taught that you can take a white candle and color it any color you need with markers,paint, or crayons. That came from a well known author. I use an old Strega spell of picking up any coin(no matter which side is up) and say this is not a coin but my new fortune. I'm not trying to put the metaphysical shops out of business but you don't have to buy all the trappings that most of the books say you need.If you know any more free spells or tools please post here. |
