I am a solitary practitioner of the Wiccan religion and an eager beginner to herbal magick and garden witchery.
I self-initiated a year ago after a lifelong fascination with Wicca fueled by my grandmother, who was herself a solitary practitioner for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of sitting with her while she charged crystals and admiring the numerous fertility Goddess statues that adorned her home.
I am a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother to a beautiful little girl who will be 2 in June.
My grandmother was of the feminist variety and only worshiped a Mother Goddess, but I do not share this sentiment. I welcome into my heart Father God and Mother Goddess, and I feel that this is right for me, as an individual and a solitary practitioner. I cannot say if one way is right and one way is wrong - there is no right and wrong here - only what feels right and comfortable in your own heart. I accept all forms of Wicca without judgment or prejudice.
I love to make friends with other like-minded individuals and talk about my beliefs and the Wiccan religion, or to just shoot the breeze with someone who will accept every aspect of me, including my religious and spiritual convictions.
Too often I feel as though I am biting my tongue in conversation to avoid persecution...so it is nice to be in a place where I can be more relaxed!
