| Maybe you don't need to find religion to make yourself feel good again. I've never been raped, but I've been molested by people I thought I could trust. It takes a while, but I didn't need religion to make myself feel better. I just looked at myself in the mirror. I told myself I wasn't going to be a weak lonely little girl anymore. I wasn't going to allow myself to stay in the shadows of what had happened. I was going to be a person again. I focused on school and my writing. I found that I felt a little better with each passing day. I'll never forget what happened, and I'll never forgive, either.
