| Casting the Circle you can do this with yourself or more ppl. its p to you 1.Making Your Circle make sure u find a safe quite place where no one will disturb u and map out a big enough circle for everyone and everything u need. u can use candle, salt, flowers, chalk. or whatever feels right to you. 2.Cleansing ur Circle theirs a few ways to do this. here's 3 of my fave. -one u can take the blow of salt from ur altar and sprinkle around the circle clockwise and say something like this "with the power of earth and salt i cleanse and protect this circle, so mote it be" -another way is to take a new broom or one only used for this purpose and sweep outward clockwise and say "sweep sweep sweep away all the negativity's of the day, so mote it be" -and one other way is u can take a bundle of white sage and after lighting it and blowing it out waft the smoke around the circle clockwise and say "with this sage i bless and cleanse this circle so mote it be" 3.Calling the Elements for the elements u need 5 colored candles and set them in the right directions for the circle .north-earth-green .east-air-yellow .south-fire-red .west-water-blue .center-spirit-purple "center" means on ur altar which should be in the center of ur circle or right out side of it in the north position. -now once everyting is set up starting in the east/air light the yellow candle while visualizing that u can feel the breez and smell fresh clean air and say... "East! soft and whispering winds from afar, in the name of the Goddess i call Air to me!" -then move to the south and while lighting the red candle and visualizing that u can feel the heat and smell a bonfire say... "South! warming and passionate flames from afar. in the name of the Goddess i call Fire to me!" -then move to the west and while lighting the blue candle and visualizing that u can smeel a lake or ocaen and fell the water cool away fires heat, say.... "West! cool and cleansing rain from afar. in the name of the goddess i call Water to me!" -then move to the north, lighting the green candle while visualizing the sound of birds and the feel of grass under feet and say... "North! stable and strong lands from afar. in the name of the goddess i call Earth to me!" 3. Calling the Goddess once the elements have been called, move to the altar where the purple/spirit candle should be and left the candle above ur head after lighting it and say.... "Loving Goddess, I call you to witness and protect my rite. fill me/us with ur peacful light. welcome! i call spirit to me!" 4.The spell or ritual at this point u can now raise energy and then perform the ritual or spell. OR -Raising Energy there are many ways to do this. my fave way is to have a group of ppl and move/dance in clockwise around the circle while chanting a energy raising chant. "Air breathe and air blow Make the mill of magick grow. Work the will for which we pray Magick come and keep us safe Fire flame and fire burn Make the mill of magic turn. Work the will for which we pray Magick come and keep us safe Water heat and water boil Make the mill of magick toil. Work the will for which we pray Magick come and keep us safe Earth without and earth within Make the mill of magick spin. Work the will for which we pray Magick come and keep us safe." but if u are alone, u can either dance by yourself and do the same thing or sit infront of the altar and say ur own personal chant and this one which is commen easy and used alot "Earth, Air, Fire, Water Bring about what i desire" Say this about 3 times keeping in ur meditative state visualizing what it is ur trying to accomplish. 5.Thnking the Elements and Goddess After the u have finish the spell or ritual, you can now thank and release the Elements and Goddess. starting with the Goddess and blowing out the purple/spirit candle and say... "thank you spirit for ur guiding light and love. merry meets and merry parts and merry meets again" Then release the elements, as you go counter-clockwise starting with earth then water fire then air and blowing out each candle as u go and say... "thank you (direction) for being here and lending the protective powers of (element). merry parts and i release you" and if you are in a big group of ppl you can say "merry meets and merry parts, and merry meets again, this circle is open but not broken. merry meets and merry parts, and merry meets again, blessed be" |
