Your Own Spells

As handy as this little section of wiccanspace is? i never use it. i ALWAYS write my own spells. and there are a few reasons for it. for one, think of it as buying a wand vs. making one. putting your own personal power into said wand makes it more yours, work for your intent, and imbues it with your own personal power. buying one is nice, especially if your lazy or want something like a quartz wand that you cant exactly make on your own. BUT keep in mind, somebody else's personal power has been put into this wand your about to buy; this item has been carved/made with THEIR creative energies. and another reason i write my own spells, is because i can get across EXACTLY my intent. the outcome I want. when you use somebody else's spell, you cant know exactly what kind of result it was written for. i guess its also a personal preference. i LIKE putting that effort into my work, it makes it more mine. its the pride i get, knowing this is MY spell. designed for ME and MY intentions. with MY own personal power; in the words as i wrote them, in the actions as i do them. plus? those wishywashy 4 line "spells" hardly elaborate to what result im trying to achieve.
