The Echo of Stillness |
| By CasperHawke |

1. Fill a dark bowl with cool spring water;
2. Position your bowl on a flat surface, such as a table;
3. Sit in a comfortable position that will allow you to clearly observe the water in the bowl;
4. With a wooden rod or your finger, stir the water in the bowl until you have created a small whirlpool in it's center;
5. Focus on the center of this whirlpool;
6. Observe the revolutions of the water and feel yourself being drawn to it's center;
7. Continue focusing on the center of the water in the bowl, until the water has completely stilled. This may take much longer than you
expect;
8. Allow your mind and spirit to come to the place of stillness that the water has become. Sense it's calming peace stretch out and
envelop your body within it's aura;
9. When you are ready, close your eyes and end the meditation;
10. End this exercise by giving thanks to the Water Elements, Gods and Goddesses;
11. Empty the bowl by pouring the water around a nearby tree or plant;
12. Write down any impressions and thoughts that you experienced during this exercise.
