Stop an Addiction |

| At one time I was seriously addicted to smoking cigarettes. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't quit for very long. When I did consider myself to have quit smoking I was just a smoker not smoking. Then I tried a spell when I became a Wiccan and it worked perfectly. In a matter of about two hours I not only quit smoking, I became a non-smoker. The smell of cigarette smell immediately disgusted me and I had just had a cigarette before the spell began, it was my last one. I could throw away the pack and I never bought another. I can smell cigarette smoke in peoples hair and clothing and I really hate the odor. I used a combination of Moon magick (in the waning moon), candle magick ( dressed black candle with "Stop smoking inscribed on it), and petition magick ( I wrote on a slip of paper that I wanted the Lord and Lady and the elements to help me stop smoking and burned it in a cauldron) So it began in a circle cast in the usual way in a cleansed and consecrated sacred space with the Lord and Lady and the Elements called up. I invoked Hecate to help me. I first inscribed and dressed the black candle and lit it off of the altar illuminator candle. By dressing I used a cleansing oil to cover the candle and I rubbed it on from base to wick and visualized cigarettes leaving me and a life without them. Then I wrote on the petition that I wanted the Lord and the Lady to help me break the addiction of cigarettes and help me become a non-smoker, not just a smoker not smoking. Then I raised energy by chanting the spell nine times while looking into the black candle's flame, "In this flame my desire I see take this curse, this addiction from me, by the rules of three times three take these cigarettes away from me", by the element of Air, repeat, and all the elements and the Lord and the Lady and two more times for a total of nine chants. Then I lit the petition with the flame of the black candle and dropped it into my cauldron. To seal the spell I announced "by fire and petition and with harm to none as I do will so Mote it Be!" At first I wanted a cigarette more than I think I had ever in my life it was almost a panic but I controlled myself and didn't have one. Then when the black candle was completely burned out about two hours later, I didn't crave a cigarette at all. I threw away my pack. The next day I met some friends and the odor of cigarettes in their hair and on their clothing totally disgusted me. I became a non-smoker. The liberation from cigarettes is wonderful. I remember being with friends and enjoying myself and the overpowering desire for a cigarette made me leave that great environment to go out by myself and feed that horrible stinking addiction. This spell is powerful and worked perfectly. It may work on things like meth and crack cocaine. I understand nicotine is a more powerful addiction than those other drugs. One element that can not be over stated is however, you have to seriously desire to stop smoking for it to work and believe it will work, and it will. Blessed Be |
