Hecate's Help

By GentryNoble 2011-07-31 02:15:21
The intent of this spell is ask the Goddess, Hecate, to remove the negativity of the week being that Saturday is the last day of the week. Since Saturday is a day of chores it is good to clean to help work out any negativity from the prior days. Also in the spell I ask the Goddess, Hecate, to let me relax, rest, and be free of danger.

If you do not have an alter using a clean safe area where you can light a candle without any danger of the flames.

Optional Items:

•incense burner, charcoal tablet and black candle
•incense: sage, thyme, basil, and ginger (three will be enough)
•stones: amethyst, diamond, obsidian, and black tourmaline (again three will be enough)
•tarot cards: Temperance, Knight of Swords, and Two of Swords

With a pocket knife, carve a symbol for Hecate near the top of the black candle. Carve this symbol three times to acknowledge that Hecate is a Triple Goddess.

Place the black candle in a candle holder. I always have the candle facing north as with all spell work that I perform. Behind the candle place the incense burner with the charcoal tablet inside of it. Please the three Tarot cards behind the incense burner. Next arrange three or four of the stones around the three items forming a triangle and representing that Hecate is again a Triple Goddess.
Optionally, you may use a fourth stone of your choosing. It is up to you.

Once you have the arrangement in place light the candle with a black lighter if possible. Next take the charcoal tablet and ignite using the candle’s flame. Once it is ignited place it back in the incense burner.
Be careful not to burn yourself.

Next, use place small amounts of Sage, Thyme, and Basil onto the burning charcoal tablet. Again, be careful so you do not burn yourself. With all of the incense lit repeat the spell below three times. I found that kneeling before the area shows my appreciation to the Goddess, Hecate. She must know that you humbly ask for her help.

Spell for Hecate’s Help

“Oh wise, seductive, and powerful Hecate
Mistress of Magic and Goddess of Our Mystical Ways
Guardian of the Crossroads
Lift the burdens from my shoulders
That can have the weight of emotional boulders
Undue the wrongs committed in these past days
Uncrossing the actions of those with vicious ways
Help me remove complacency, resentment and anger
So that I can feel loose, rested, and be of danger
Aid me in defending my honor, respect, and zeal
As I allow this day to be one to relax, clean, and heal
Cleanse me of hostility, maliciousness, and negative energy
So I breathe in peace, protection and harmony
All in perfect synergy
With your mighty powers of three
Let me breathe a sigh of relief, adjust, and wade in the blessings to be.”

For the Good of All with Harm to None
This Spell for Hecate’s Help is now done.

So mote it be
