Other ways to meditate |

There are other ways to meditate that don't even involve a circle. This is about controlling and training your mental patterns. It's about controlling the overwhelming thoughts that plaque the inner turmoils of your mind. And it's so simple...
What do you like to do the most?
Write?
Draw?
Paint?
Sew?
Garden?
Jog?
Excersice?
Any of these events helps you meditate and you don't even realize it.
Each item requires deep thought to accomplish. When you are writing/drawing/painting/sewing/gardening...all you can think about is the item at hand. Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Just spend your energy on focusing on the items you are creating and nurturing. Writing will clear anything out of your head. Things that you are dying to 'dust off of your shoulders', things that you can't stop thinking about.
Things like sports and excersice...sometimes your mind wonders more during these events. But if you add music to it. You meld with the tunes and the thoughts dissapear.
Try practicing different hobbies and look at it as a way to control your mind. To train it for the next circle you cast. |
