As you say these words light a candle or torch I light here a flame A flame in remembrance of the mothers Of warmth joy and life Pause and say the next words respectfully O Great Mothers We dedicate this night in thy honor Be with us in us And of us Freya the beautiful Frigga the heart Hulda the ancient Be with us now Pause for the space of at least 25 heart beats and say as you burn the gifts A gift to Freya A gift for Frigga The gift to Hulda Say the next words loudly and with pride HAIL FREYA HAIL FRIGGA HAIL HULDA Say the next words with a quiet calm voice full of sincerity Thus we swear before the earth Mother of all We swear to protect thine self and thine children HAIL MOTHER GIA MOTHER EARTH Take the candle that have lit in hand and say At this time and in thins place We are thankful for that which we have And the mothers that we share Our blessings go forth to the mothers that we know And for those we do not yet know HAIL TO THE BLESSED MOTHERS After you say the next and final words in a soft gentle voice blow out the candle/torch This rite is ended So mote it be
