My First Spell: Acorn Charm for Relationships and Confidence |

| This was my first stab at magic so don't judge too harshly. I got the idea from Ellen Dugan's book, Herb Magic for beginners, but I've adapted and added to it. I decided to use a few runes in this spell to help focus my main point in casting. My main focus was to bring confidence to my life and prosperity and passion to my relationship. To help me be confident in it even though my girlfriend and I are in separate states. You will need a cluster of three acorns (in this case I have them on a necklace so they don't get crushed in my pocket) and you'll need to draw a blank rune, Algiz, Gebo, and Berkana. I have a set of runes that I used. I decided to cast in the waning moon to banish negative feelings, and on a Sunday to build confidence. First place (or draw) the Blank rune above the acorns and say "With (insert Deity here) at my head." Then place the Aligiz below it and say "Protection Behind." Then place Gebo and Berkana on either side while saying "Let or union grow by my side." Once finished with this visualize a green light surrounding the acorns and say this verse. As the Sun rises and the moon wanes low, Let passion, confidence, and prosperity grow, About my neck let these qualities stay, Let me be protected all through the day. With the power of Jupiter and the bright Sun, So mote it be and let it harm none. A bit helter-skelter I know, but its my first. Since I first performed the spell a week ago I randomly came up with a new pet name (something I don't often give) for her, and our arguments have been less often and less severe. The only thing is some of my assumptions have a been a bit bold, which isn't out of the ordinary but still noteworthy. Something to work on I guess.
